PeteTruckParts.com processes and ships most orders the same day as the order is placed, Monday through Friday, excluding major Holidays. We do our best to get the order out as soon as possible but due to the volume of orders, we can only promise to ship same day if the order comes in before 12pm Eastern time. The date reflected in the delivery date at time of order placement is our committed date but we do our best to beat that whenever possible.
The shipping rates for most orders are calculated automatically in the cart based on the dimensional weight via FedEx. Exceptions to these freight charges include items that are over 150lbs, over-sized, or hazardous materials etc. If your order contains a part that requires an exception, we will give you a call to quote the freight charges or discuss other alternatives.
- Free Ground Shipping for most orders over $500.00 (shipments weighing more than 150lbs, filters, & over-sized items (like hard line hoses) are not eligible for the Free Ground Shipping offer. Oversize items, according to FedEx, include anything with a volume over 15,000cu in or total of all dimensions over 165 in. Seats qualify for free shipping ONLY IF they are shipped to a commercial address. Free shipping is only for addresses in the lower 48 states.
- Residential vs Commercial address verification calculates in the cart automatically. Commercial addresses provide a more cost effective and faster service than residential. You may ship to a different address of your choice in the My Account page.
- LTL (Less than Truckload) orders require a commercial address. We will contact you if your order requires special handling or validation. You must check your order over when you receive freight. Do not sign for the shipment without noting any damage as freight companies do not cover any damage which is not noted on the BOL receipt. Once that paperwork is signed, the liability is on the consumer.
- Seats – seats receive free shipping when sent to a commercial address. However, due to the recent exorbitant costs of shipping to certain areas, we have a flat rate surcharge on seats sent to CA, OR, WA, and NY to offset the fees charged to us by the freight companies. We will remove those as soon as shipping prices come back down to Earth!
- Expediting Fees – some high demand, low availability parts have a required expediting fee required by Paccar so that we can place the order with Paccar. These are purely Paccar fees and we have no control over them and the fees go 100% to Paccar. For that reason, those fees are non-refundable.
